Star Fish(Sea Stars) are one of those fun things to spot while beach combing and tidepooling. They can be found at low tide in many coastal areas including Homer, Alaska. I was inspired to create this piece after getting to spot so many starfish during low tide on vacation one summer. I was walking around the ocean in my xtratuf boots enjoying the sunshine, seagulls, and of course marine life. At the end of Homer Spit right by the docks a variety of star fish were laying in the sand and on the posts. Shades of pink, red, and purple stars littered the beach. What a magical site!
